MOT 2010
Val de Bonnal,
Franche-Compté, France

Saturday 29th May to Saturday 5th June

Minors on Tour 2010 will be in the Franche-Compte area of France situated in the east, near the Swiss border, between Alsace and Jura, from Saturday 29th May to Saturday 5th June 2010. The Franche-Compte is a very rural part of France but full of history, pretty villages and spectacular views. Whilst not being a major tourist area, at least for the Brits, there is plenty to see and do. A little further afield, the Alsace, the Vosges, Switzerland and Germany are all around 40-50 miles from the campsite.

The Val de Bonnal campsite is set alongside the L'Ognon river in a large area of woodland alongside beautiful lakes. The site is in a very rural area between the towns of Vesoul, Belfort and Besançon, adjacent to the tiny village of Bonnal. There are supermarkets and petrol stations in Rougemont and Villersexal, both about 10 minutes drive. Facilities on the campsite include a heated swimming pool, swimming lake with beach, shop, bar, restaurant, gym, games areas, bike hire and children's playgrounds. We have arranged use of a sheltered area in which to hold our social and fundraising events, including the auction and quiz night.

The MOT programme will include Le Drive, a gentle jaunt around the local area in your Minor ending at a place of interest, and trips to chateaux, cheese-makers and car museums. For the walkers we have Le Walk, a bit like le Drive but without your Minor!
We, Pam and Ash Holmes, will be leading the team of volunteers making the arrangements for MOT 2010 and hope that for next years' MOT there will be as many people as this year offering to contribute by organising events on what we are sure will be an enjoyable rally.
It will be the 28th MOT and, as this year, our charities will be Leuka and the British Heart Foundation.

The owners of Val de Bonnal have mobile homes for rental; this does not include the channel crossing. Several tour operators have accommodation on the site, both mobile homes and fixed tents, and some offer a package deal, including ferry crossings. They include: Keycamp, Eurocamp, Roan and Rent-a-Tent. From past experience the mobile homes will be very popular with MOTers, so we have reserved all eleven of the campsite's mobile homes and a large block of camping pitches for the week of MOT 2010. Once we have received your application form to register on MOT, we will provide you with details of how to book accommodation with the campsite and more information about the tour operators. We have negotiated 2009 prices for MOT2010 and there will be no booking fee. If you wish to use the accommodation provided by a tour operator then you should make this booking directly with the company.

You can download an application form, which you should complete and send, together with your non-refundable registration fee (as detailed on the registration form) to Pam and Ash Holmes, Orchard End, The Street, Castle Eaton, Swindon, SN6 6JZ, United Kingdom.
For addresses outside of mainland UK please send a self-addressed C5 sized envelope and a 5 Euro note to cover postage.
